WAY TO WELLNESS (2024)

Doodle Your Way to Wellness is a youth-friendly resource, blending visual art sketchbooks with mindfulness activities. Designed for WECYAC, these are private handheld spaces, meant to encourage creativity and self-reflection. This booklet is accompanied by an in-space mural designed by artist Julie Hall.

CONNECTING: COLOUR AND COLLAGE (2023)
Honourable W.C Kennedy Collegiate x Art Windsor Essex

Kennedy Collegiate’s Grade 9 Arts (AVI1O) exhibition, Connecting: Colour and Collage, is  inspired by Rajni Perera’s exhibition Futures and explores Colour Theory as a storytelling tool. Through studying Perera’s work, students analyzed the emotional impact of color and then applied these insights to create individual collages; each student crafted unique pieces using textures, tones, and patterns with their own color wheels.

In celebration of Black History Month, I partnered with W5 to host an engaging acrylic painting workshop. Together, we explored the fundamentals of color theory while also discussing local art hubs, fostering connections with the vibrant arts community in Windsor-Essex and encouraging participants to dive deeper into creative expression.

In partnership with the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society, this project fosters self and community connections, inviting youth and their families to contribute visual ideas and inspirations. The gathered artwork shaped a community mural designed by artist Julie Hall, creating a collective piece that reflects shared experiences and local stories.
